Dash & Lily Review: This Christmas Teenage Love Drama Sets The Holiday Mood Right; Nick Jonas' Cameo Is Likeable
Are you a sucker for rom-coms? Teenage love stories with Christmas festivities as the backdrop is your thing? Then do not miss out on Netflix's latest presentation Dash & Lily starring Austin Abrams and Midori Francis as the lead young couple. It is certainly a perfect binge-watch during the holidays.

Set in New York city, the web series is about this young guy, Dash, whose parents are divorced and somehow he is extremely cynical about Christmas. Since his parents prioritise their own personal lives before Dash, the festive season reminds him that he actually has no real people to enjoy it with. And then, there is our heroine, Lily, who is all gung-ho about Christmas. She is an enthusiast, loves her family, which comprises her grand father, mother, father and brother.

The plot is interesting as it unwinds the love story between these two opposite characters in a fun, engaging and adorable way. Our lead actors do not meet each other till the last episode- but fall in love with one another via a notebook, in which they write to each other. They undertake dares to know more about each other.

While our boy, Dash is quite a charmer, Lily on the other hand will come across a bit not so pleasant in the first few episodes, especially with her annoying dressing, but then eventually her character grows on you. Frankly, it took me 3-4 episodes to warm up to her.

And then, of course, there is Nick Jonas in a cameo role too, playing himself. It's a few seconds of appearance but he lights up the scene well.

The look and feel of the series is very romantic. It captures the holiday life in the city, with all the Christmas decorations and vibes.

So, I will say Dash & Lily is totally binge-worthy and give it 3 stars. It's a real feel good web series, which will set your mood right for the upcoming festive season.
